Description

Adopte un bureau is a French company that buys used office furniture from businesses, refurbishes it in its workshops in Antony and Albi and resells it, with a 24-month warranty, at much lower prices than new.

It says it has been active for ten years and has refurbished more than 30,000 pieces, from chairs and desks to cabinets, USM storage and acoustic booths. Its workshops cover 2,400 m². Furniture is repaired with original manufacturer parts, deep-cleaned and checked before shipping; the company is an official Herman Miller refurbisher and a USM Haller reseller, and says it is certified by the furniture institute FCBA and holds the ESUS social-enterprise approval. It also sells some new furniture in its online shop.

Companies that move or renew their offices can sell their furniture to it: it buys from 20 identical workstations in the Paris region or elsewhere, after an inventory with photos, an offer that includes dismantling and collection, and a site visit. In November 2026 it quoted buy-back prices of €280–340 for a Herman Miller Aeron Remastered chair and €70–120 for a Sayl chair, and resold a Sayl chair for €400 excluding VAT instead of €790 new. All refurbished furniture comes with a 24-month warranty. The blog had a post in July 2026.

Strengths

  • Refurbished office chairs and desks cost roughly half the price of new ones and come with a 24-month warranty.
  • Furniture is repaired with original parts in workshops in France, keeping it out of the skip.
  • Companies can sell their old furniture instead of paying to dispose of it.

Weaknesses

  • Buy-back is only for batches of at least 20 identical items, and the minimum differs between pages (15, 20 or 30).
  • Delivery fees and warranty terms aren’t detailed on the pages read.
  • The FCBA and ESUS claims couldn’t be checked against a public register.

Who it is for

Companies, associations and freelancers in France who need office chairs and desks and want good-quality refurbished furniture, and companies that want to sell furniture when they move.
